EarProtect Earmuffs EP902, black/yellow

Strong against low-frequency noise too

Low-frequency noise, for example from piston compressors, excavators or blasting plants, is hard to attenuate. With L 23 dB, the EP902 attenuates it more strongly than anything else in the range. Together with H 34 and M 31 dB, it is the all-rounder for very noisy workplaces.

At 260 g it is also the heaviest earmuff in the series. For long wearing times at moderate levels, take a look at the lighter EP905 at 151 g.

Care and shelf life

Clean the cushions and foam pads after each use with mild soap and water or alcohol wipes and leave them to air-dry. Unopened, the hearing protector keeps for five years from manufacture according to the user instructions.

Correct use in four steps

  1. 01

    Open the cups

Pull the cups outwards and place them over the ears.

  2. 02

    Enclose the ears

The cushions must completely enclose the ears and sit tightly against the head. Hair, caps or spectacle arms disturb the seal.

  3. 03

    Adjust the height

Adjust the height of both cups until the fit is firm and comfortable. The headband sits straight on the head.

  4. 04

    Clean

After use, clean cushions and foam pads with mild soap and water or alcohol wipes and leave them to air-dry.

Frequently asked questions

How strongly do the EP902 earmuffs attenuate?

SNR 33 dB to EN 352-1:2020, with H 34, M 31 and L 23 dB.

How heavy is the EP902?

260 grams according to the user instructions.

Which noise levels is the EP902 suitable for?

Following the HML check of DGUV Rule 112-194: M 31 dB minus a 5 dB real-world deduction gives 26 dB. For mid- to high-frequency noise, workplace levels of about 96 to 106 dB(A) therefore result in the recommended 70 to 80 dB(A) at the ear. For low-frequency noise, the L value of 23 dB counts: about 88 to 98 dB(A).
