Reusable TPE earplugs, SNR 32 dB

Flanged earplugs made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) in blue, without cord (EP002B) or with cord (EP002CB). In the high-frequency range they attenuate slightly more than the silicone version, with H 33 dB.

Attenuation values in detail

SNR 32 dB, H 33, M 29 and L 28 dB. The high H value helps with noise containing many high frequencies, for example grinding, sawing or compressed air. How to read the values is explained in SNR and H/M/L.

With cord: don't pull on it

The cord keeps the earplugs around the neck during breaks. They are still removed one at a time and slowly, not by pulling the cord. Clean after every use with a mild cleaning agent and keep in the storage box.

Correct use in four steps

  1. 01

    Wash your hands

Clean your hands before inserting; the earplug goes straight into the ear canal.

  2. 02

    Pull the ear

Gently pull the ear upwards with one hand.

  3. 03

    Insert

Guide the tip into the ear canal until the flanges sit tightly and comfortably.

  4. 04

    Remove

Twist out slowly, never with a jerk. On corded models, do not pull on the cord.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between TPE and silicone earplugs?

TPE is a thermoplastic elastomer, silicone a rubber-like material. In use, the two EarProtect versions are the same: pre-moulded flanged earplugs, SNR 32 dB, M 29 and L 28 dB, cleaning after every use, up to five uses according to the user instructions. TPE (EP002) attenuates high frequencies with H 33 dB, 1 dB more than silicone (EP001). More in the comparison Foam, silicone or TPE.

How do you remove corded earplugs correctly?

Slowly twist out each earplug individually. Do not pull on the cord.

Are the blue TPE earplugs metal-detectable?

No. For areas with metal detection there are the EP1227BD foam earplugs with a detectable cord.
